A Perfect Word to Gift the Moon

Working with the wonderfully talented author Megan Carey and the dedicated team at Heritage House Publishing out of Victoria, BC, I am so excited to announce the release of my first book illustration project! This was one of the largest undertakings of my career so far, and I am so proud of how it has turned out. Coming in fall of 2026, you can preorder at your local book seller, or any larger book retailer. Endless thanks to Megan and Heritage House for making this experience such a good one. I hope to have the opportunity to illustrate many more story books in the future!

A Perfect Word to Gift the Moon highlights the joy of wonder and the power of words for expression. The story follows a young boy at bedtime as he tries to share his gratitude for the light and magic of the moon with a gift of a perfect word. He can’t find a word that fits, so he sets out on a midnight adventure to ask woodland creatures who know the moon well to discover what the moon means to others. In the end, it is not a word that is the perfect gift but his wonder.
